Draft Paper: A Distributed and Lightweight Identity System
As the World Wide Web is the model of a distributed network with common
document standards and access, and most access to information seems to
be through web documents and/or browsers, this draft paper describes how it is possible
to have a lightweight distributed model for identity, user accounts and
documents, sharing permissions across systems, non-centralized
authentication systems.

Welcome to the eCitizen Foundation Symposia 2009
We are looking forward to a great mix of participants in person and online from around the world. Here are some of the logistical information for the in person and online participation for the Symposia which will be taking place at 1:00 pm EST on Tuesday, December 1st.

Each session will be designed to keep dialog moving, so to respect your time we will moderate, giving everyone an opportunity to participate, but keeping track of time. As a moderation method we will divide each session into thirds, the first and shortest will be for introductions; the second will be for a discussion of the issue and major developments; and the third will be a fast paced "design charrette" session, facilitating participatory creative contributions toward workable solutions.

Main entrance is on L Street. Sign in at guards' booth and then go to the left to the main reception desk area. There will be a coat rack and sign in table to the left of the reception desk.
If driving, there are public parking lots on that K Street block and on the 17th Street side of the block.
If taking public transportation, the closest subway/Metro stations are the Farragut North on the Red Line and Farragut West on the Orange and Blue Lines (
Metro Map).
Coffee, tea and water will be served during the meetings. There will be wine and hors d'œuvres served at 6:30 pm.

On October 5, 2009, the W3C and the FDIC during a workshop, hosted the first public screening of eCitizen Foundation's
featuring a leading open government program of the Securities and Exchange Commission enabling data-driven filing and access to the vast store of regulatory filings about companies required by the SEC.
The eCitizen Foundation has recently re-incorporated in the state of Washington as part of transitioning to a new strategic partnership with the law firm K&L Gates as the foundations legal counsel.
